Hi, I’m Thea Kable.

 

I’m a designer and PhD candidate working on the unceded lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. I’ve designed publications including a zine about Biosphere 2, an anthology of kids’ stories, and a book about hopeful futures. My illustrations have appeared alongside pirate-y prose, childrens’ stories, and health articles. I also make comics about space settlement and the biosphere. Want to see more?

The Vivarium: A Short History of the Odd Mission to Make Biosphere 2 was developed in collaboration with Goodnight Press, a risograph based small press located on unceded Gadigal land. The Vivarium is the second in the Special Interest series published by Goodnight Press. It is available for purchase by contacting Goodnight Press

It is 16 A6 pages of the incredible story of a travelling theatre group that built an artistic ethos, a commune, a ship, and a failed utopia. The content, design, and illustrations were produced by me, and printed in risograph purple and orange by Isabella Brown of goodnight.press
