Hi, I’m Thea Kable. I’m a designer and PhD candidate working on the unceded lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. I’ve designed publications including an anthology of kids’ stories, and a book about hopeful futures. My illustrations have appeared alongside pirate-y prose, childrens’ stories, and health articles. I also make comics about space settlement and the biosphere.
I’m currently a PhD candidate at UTS exploring sustainability practices within the Australian graphic design industry. My work focuses on developing collaborative aspirations for change, particularly through participatory workshops and worldbuilding. I also enjoy telling generative stories about little utopias. I have a Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation, and a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication (First Class Honours), from the University of Technology, Sydney.
